Scottish Rite Charities is a 501 (c)(3) Corporation registered in the state of Washington. Scottish Rite Charities supports the Early Life Speech and Language Program, the Shoes and Socks for Kids program, and by donating to endowed scholarship programs and membership enhancement programs within the Valley of Spokane promiting education, leadership and enriching the membership value.


Early Life Speech & Language is a 501 (c)(3) registered in the state of Washington that provides intensive, individualized speech and language therapy to children aged two to seven who are not meeting specific speech and language developmental milestones. All of our services are provided at no cost to families. Our Child-centered, family-friendly process involves parents as partners in each child’s individual treatment for long -term success at hom, in school and beyond.

Almoner

An almoner is a person who gives out alms. In historical contexts this meant giving out money, food or similar items to the poor as a charitable act. Our local Almoners office is active in a community wide network of agencies to ensure we can identify people in need. Our Amoner gives out medical equipment such as wheelchairs, beds, walkers, canes and a mulitude of other types of durable medical equipment upon request. This office also manages Avista grants, and pledges money to be paid to the Avista Corporation for people in need of assistance paying unitly bills.
